OSHA Training Requirements for Workers in Las Vegas, NV
Certain construction and other workers in Las Vegas are required to complete OSHA 10 hour health and safety training within two weeks of starting on the job. Las Vegas and all Nevada workers, with some exceptions such as Federal workers and workers on Native American lands, fall under the jurisdiction of the State-established occupational safety and health administration, Nevada OSHA which enforces Federal OSHA as well as State OSHA regulations in Las Vegas and Nevada. Nevada OSHA has adopted all Federal OSHA standards, and in addition, has adopted additional standards for Nevada workplaces, concerning safety programs and construction, as well as regarding certain equipment and workplace hazardous materials used in Nevada including cranes, steel erection, asbestos, explosives, photovoltaic adn ammonium perchlorate.
